The Origin Story

The Problem: You spend years building. Then one policy change deletes it overnight. You grow an audience. Then you're banned without warning, without appeal. You're building on rented land, where they control your code, your content, your future. One faceless decision, and it's all gone.

The Journey: I explored the alternatives: IPFS, Filecoin, Storj, Sia, Arweave. All promising, all limited. They proved decentralized storage was possible. But storage isn't enough. I needed more than storage. I needed infrastructure that could run entire applications without relying on Big Tech.

The Discovery: The breakthrough: the Internet Computer Protocol. A unified network of blockchain subnets spanning nodes worldwide. Cryptographic consensus coordinates everything, fast, scalable, and secure. Governed by the community. Controlled by no one. Everything runs on-chain: frontend, backend, databases.

The Plan: The Internet Computer provides the foundation for a new kind of web. Applications run forever, immune to takedowns. Developers and users own their digital presence. This is what drives Dappjak Labs, building on-chain, experimenting in the open.
